The Hide My IP software was one of the first on the market and was introduced in 2008. It started off by using a series of Elite Proxy Servers across the globe to just a few countries which has now expanded to more than 12. The software then improved by introducing a premium service which provides a faster and a more reliable service, but this comes as an extra monthly cost. We have found a problems with this basic service where some of the Elite Proxy servers have a far too slow internet speed, which prevents you from watching streamed video or to enter sites that demand a certain bandwidth to view.

The Auto Hide IP country IP address changing software is a very simple and easy to use application to hide your true country IP address and get another country IP address of your choice. However, on testing this we discovered that it appears to be identical to the Super Hide IP software but sold under this Auto Hide IP name. The Super Hide IP country IP address changing software is a very simple and easy to use application to hide your true country IP address and get another country IP address of your choice. However, on testing the performance of this software we discovered that it was not very reliable. One of problems we found was that the connection speed was often very slow and not suitable for streaming or downloading of large files. Another one was that IP addresses were picked up as a fake anonymous proxy IP ones by the site we were trying to connect to and we were subsequently rejected entry. And finally on many occasions the connection could not be made at all or was dropped during use.

The Hide My IP software with the added Premium Service at an extra cost provides additional features and functionality, which are; Being able to see and select your country IP and support to change the country IP address in email, messenger and gaming clients. However we have found a problems with this Premium service where some of the Elite Proxy servers have a far too slow internet speed, which prevents you from watching streamed video or to enter sites that demand a certain bandwidth to view. And additionally some of these servers have been blacklisted on some of the leading online sites which have restricted IP access. As a result they still cannot be accessed. Finally we have also not noticed a faster internet speed which Hide My IP claims you will get when purchasing the additional Premium Service.

This software is reminiscent of the first of this country IP changing type that came out 10 years ago where it is almost text based and the Opera and Firefox browsers have to be configured manually. Also country IP addresses are only available from the US and the UK (and only 16 IP addresses) and furthermore for this poorly developed software with has the most basic control panel of all, the supplier has the audacity to charge $28 for a year’s license; the same price as you would pay for the excellent Easy Hide IP which is in a totally superior league.
We have only one comment to make; DO NOT INVEST IN THIS PRODUCT YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR MONEY!
